My name is Trevor Basile and I am the baseball player agent for our Little League. I know some of you may have not signed up to be coaches or managers but we are always looking for people to take on those roles. We are holding a Coaches clinic on Wednesday March 31st at 6pm at Donatoni. It is going to be lead by the baseball program Baseball's Finest. It will be instructed by the owner of Baseball's Finest Craig Conway and Trevor Marcotte one of his coaches.

 

A little background on the Coaches:

 

    Craig was a 3-time All-American playing for Montclair State University. In 2000 he helped MSU win the Division III College World Series while leading the nation in doubles with 27. 2001 he was named New Jersey Athletic Conference Male Athlete of the year after hitting .446 and set a school record for hits with 91. To this day he still holds MSU records for doubles and triples and is MSU all time hits leader. He went on to play 5 seasons with the NJ Jackals helping them win 3 championships in 5 seasons. When his playing days were over he went on to coach at MSU and William Paterson University for a total of 13 years. None of the teams he coached ever missed making the playoffs. 

 

    Trevor was a pitcher for University of Vermont. He has experience as a starter and reliever. Playing for Vermont he tallied 15 wins, 54 appearances, 155 strikeouts and totaled 194.1 innings pitched. After graduating in 2001 he went on to have an 11 year professional baseball career that took him from Canada to Texas. He threw over 500 innings starting 77 games and relieved in 76 games. He has been coaching the game of baseball for 20 years and has coaching experience as a NCAA Division 1 coach.

 

They both bring a wealth of knowledge to the table and we are very excited they are taking time to come and talk with us. Two hours will go fast but they are going to give you all some great drills, tips and knowledge that can only come from guys who have exceeded at such a high level.

 

Speaking from experience my son has been playing for Coach Craig since June and just recently finished a pitching clinic with Coach Trevor and his game has grown tremendously physically, mentality but most important so has his confidence.

 

I know this was a long email but I wanted you all to know the caliber of coaches they are and how they can help us all become better coaches to our kids. Hope you consider coming out and learning from them. If you have any questions please let me know.
